ABSTRACT

The informational urbanism which is found in our final two cases, while a product of the same policies and processes that bought about the development of Electronics City and the emergence of the new CBD, represents spatial and social forms that are remarkably altered from those at these two locations. The two cases highlight the reality of actually existing urbanism in the city and its evolution along a continuum of local social and land use outcomes under the pressure of the three forces outlined in Chapter 2.
