ABSTRACT

Many people experience some anxiety when speaking before others. In public speaking, this anxiety is often quite significant. But even in less-formal situations such as giving a briefing or leading a meetingor even participating in an interview-anxiety can play a significant part in inhibiting effectiveness. Communicators who fail to consider the delivery part of their communication efforts run the risk of having their carefully planned messages fall flat. This chapter discusses the steps necessary to deliver your message content in ways that maximize its impact on your audience.
