ABSTRACT
This chapter revisits severalcal and contemporary theorists for their perspectives regarding the functions of management. The discussion has implications for communication, communication tool choices, situational applications across disciplines and organizational levels of planning, human resource development and management, training of trainers, and challenges of effecting change within and across profi t and not-for profi t organizations.
