ABSTRACT

Following the theoretical analysis of donors’ trade-related assistance and the empirical discussions of the (de-)developments in the trade sector in Palestine, the current chapter will focus on donors’ trade-related activities in the territories with the aim of highlighting the inconsistencies in their activities in the context of the needs of the Palestinian trade sector as set out in the previous chapter.1 The task of evaluating the donors’ trade-related programmes and assessing the extent to which they do or do not address the fundamental issues and problems facing Palestinian traders will be left to the next chapter.
