ABSTRACT
This chapter reviews the empirical literature that is most closely related to the theory presented in the foregoing two chapters. An emphasis is given to examining the effects of changes in standard hours on employment and average total hours but also consideration is given to relative factor price, scale and hours productivity influences on these labour inputs.
