ABSTRACT
A week after arriving at Okazaki he marched out again against Akechi, and got as far as Atsuta, when a messenger reached him from Hideyoshi with the news of the battle of Yamazaki and the defeat and death of the slayer of Nobunaga at the hands of his forces, so as there was no further need of his assistance he returned again to Okazaki.
