ABSTRACT

This chapter starts by considering just what a ‘learning organisation’ is, and how they fit into our ‘knowledge age’ and the world of PCE. Checking how your organisation rates as a learning organisation follows, together with some ideas about organisational culture and the way that can affect the day-to-day business of teaching and learning. The chapter concludes with a consideration of how power can operate in the smallest or the largest organisations, and some strategies for keeping that power on your side.
