I PROSPECTS FOR THE TOKYO ROUND NEGOTIATIONS A new round of multilateral trade negotiations in GATT was initiated with the declaration of ministers approved in Tokyo on 14 September 1973, and after a lengthy wait for authorisation of the US Trade Act of 1974, actual negotiations resumed in early February 1975.
