ABSTRACT
The content for writing in this project came when the teacher told his class of elevenyear-olds the story of Gandhi, bringing an RE dimension to a project on ‘Great Lives’. With their help, he created a timeline representation of this story on a long strip of wallpaper. The students then dramatised Gandhi’s life-story in groups, each group focusing on a different period and creating a short play for performance to the class.
