ABSTRACT

Paired presentations are the easiest type of speaking frame presentation. Children who have previously used a ‘talking partners’ technique should adjust to using frames quickly; for those who have not used the technique, the frames are an ideal introduction.

In the three We’re thinking of . . . exercises, children develop and present a short presentation, using literate language patterns, with the support of a partner. The ‘quiz’ aspect of the talks provides motivation for explicit description of the objects, animals and places concerned.
