As Alice headed to her classroom, she could see a smiling woman with glasses standing in the doorway and greeting students. “Hello, I’m Mrs. Michaelson,” she said. “And you are . . . ?”
“Alice Walker.” “I’m so glad you’ll be in my class. Your seat is in the second row. Please go to
your desk now, and you’ll find a paper that you will need to fill out. It’s a special interview form-everyone in the class has one-and it will give us a chance to get to know each other better. Be sure to look at the classroom rules that are posted on the board as you go in. These are very important, and I will explain them to all of you this morning.”
