ABSTRACT

In “Modeling Information for Three-Dimensional Space: Lessons Learned from Museum Exhibit Design,” Saul Carliner explores the relationship between Web design and the design of museum exhibits. The article reports some of the results from a study using a grounded theory design, and his data-collection methods included interviews, observations, and document analysis. These methods were supplemented by a literature review, observations of visitor behavior, visits to over 200 museums around the world, and participation in conferences and events for museum exhibit designers.
