ABSTRACT

The conclusion of the previous chapter was that, in the present circumstances, the overriding aim of society should be the achievement of distributive justice. Distributive justice has been defi ned as justice in the distribution of the costs and benefi ts of economic activity among the members of society. The subject of the present chapter is the role that the fi rm1 plays in the achievement of distributive justice. As a fi rst step, the impact of the fi rm’s activities on distributive justice is analysed.
