ABSTRACT

Knowledge and innovation are themes that are closely related to quality. Many of the concepts that have been dealt with in Chapter 5 can also be applied to the management of knowledge and innovation. In this case, too, there is for instance an approach based on codification and one based on interaction. I will therefore address these issues a bit more briefly here than I did in Chapter 5 (on quality management), and will occasionally refer to that chapter. Readers who skipped directly to this chapter are therefore advised to read Chapter 5 as well.
