ABSTRACT

The expectation that teachers are able to use information and communications technology (ICT) effectively to support learning and teaching in all subjects is here to stay. It is also likely that within the next five years you will be using technology that has yet to be invented. Thus, the knowledge and skills you require as a teacher working in schools today includes the ability to use ICT confidently in subject teaching, professional activities and administration as an integral part of professional practice rather than as a bolt-on extra.
