ABSTRACT

At this stage in the book we are in a position to investigate the LHTL data from teachers and others in schools and local authorities, using the problems in the current literature on educational networks and the general theoretical ideas on networks and on learning (Chapters 1-3). Our concern so far has been on what the literature says, but now we need to turn to investigate how it might further our analysis of the educational networks that we uncovered and also to a further understanding of such networks more generally. This will be done over this and the next three chapters, and here we want to look particularly at the mapping process and what it revealed.
