ABSTRACT
This chapter presents dilemmas that deal with different aspects of accountability in relation to responsibility. In each of the six cases, high stakes testing is central to the problem and gives rise to a variety of ethical issues focusing on equity, equality, individual rights, professional ethics, and the best interests of the student.
