ABSTRACT
Organizations consolidate human activity in three ways. First, people can work alone, by themselves. This might be in a particular job or a one-time assignment. Receptionists, people in human resources, sales or accounting fall into this category. People in these areas may be part of a larger department for logistical reasons but they often do the bulk of their work alone.
