ABSTRACT
The following chapter has four sections. In the first section, a summary of the characteristics of mixed methods research (MMR) is provided. The relationship between EER and MMR is discussed in the second section. Examples of effectiveness studies using mixed methods are provided in the third section. Finally, in the fourth section, we draw conclusions concerned with the application of mixed methods to the field of EER.
