ABSTRACT
Using Facebook (2009), a popular worldwide social networking site with millions of members, is just one way that people stay in touch with old friends and meet new ones.Although Facebook was originally created as a site for college students, it has since expanded so that anyone with a valid email address can join. There is one key difference between Facebook and other online social networks. Facebook is one of the few social network sites where those who are friends online are also friends or at least acquaintances in real life (Ellison et al. 2007; Ross et al. 2009). Thus, Facebook serves as an additional way that a user can interact with friends and loved ones.
