ABSTRACT
The main purpose of this book is to examine the impact of the Mayor of London’s spatial planning powers on housing in London between 2000 and 2008. The book is a case study of a new form of regional governance and of the inter-relationship between spatial planning and housing strategy at regional level. It is also a study of how spatial planning in a world city responds to the pressures of population and economic growth.
