ABSTRACT
Our understanding of psychopathology in people with intellectual disability (ID) is still far from complete, perhaps in part due to both conceptual and pragmatic dif®culties in research. Nonetheless, immense strides have been taken in the past century, and the pace of understanding has quickened signi®cantly over the past few decades.
