In the following examples, yukkuri ‘slowly’ modifies the verb arukimasu ‘walk,’ itsumo ‘always’ the verb chikoku suru ‘be late,’ tappuri ‘abundantly’ the verb tsuketa ‘put,’ totemo the adverb phrase genki yoku ‘energetically,’ and kitto the whole sentence.
