ABSTRACT

This chapter will consider parent-infant work in a community with high levels of social and economic deprivation and transient population. The parent-infant psychotherapist worked in both a clinical and a consultation role as a member of the Emotional Support Service, an innovative and unique service set up as part of a Sure Start Local Programme.
