ABSTRACT

What is ultimately suggested by the phenomenon of cross-sector organizing to effect social change? In the final analysis, what are the implications of this arrangement for organizations-and particularly for universities-as we know them? What are the implications for society? This chapter considers these questions and offers some parting thoughts on the phenomenon of cross-sector social partnership. In general, it explores how things look different when we begin organizing around social issues instead of using the conventional territorial means of organizing.
