ABSTRACT

This chapter describes a study undertaken in a neuro-rehabilitation hospital to investigate the clinical effectiveness of a short course of dramatherapy delivered individually to ten patients recovering from severe neuro-trauma. It

was led by Dr Pat McKenna, the neuropsychologist at the hospital. Eileen Haste, working as a freelance dramatherapist, was employed to deliver the programme of therapy. In the following text we shall refer to ourselves by our first names.
