ABSTRACT
In exploring the phenomenon of radical disagreement with conflict parties, the investigation begins by uncovering the moments of radical disagreeing – what conflict parties say in the very process of engaging in agonistic dialogue. Through this, the enquiry is able to move on to an exploration of the resulting radical disagreement itself, and thereby to gain new insight into the nature of linguistic intractability.
