Definitions Where defined terms are used in SFN99 they are distinguished by an initial capital letter.

Architect The party referred to as Architect in the Agreement.

Brief • At inception, the Client's initial statement of requirements; • At the commencement of design (Work Stage C) the Client's requirements devel-

oped after consideration of any feasibility studies and set out by the Client in the Strategic Brief;

• After approval of the Detailed Proposals (Work Stage D) the detailed written Project Brief developed in conjunction with that design, unless and until varied by the Client.
