ABSTRACT
Applied to solid fuel combustion, it is introduced above the fuel bed to assist the process of complete combustion of the fine fuel particles in suspension above the bed. Secondary air must be closely regulated and monitored when combusting fine particle fuel, such as sawdust and sander dust because 75% or more of such fuel has to be burnt in suspension above the fuel bed.
