“What’s Wrong with Me?”

Th e letter in this chapter explores the theme of understanding how children make sense of their own special needs. It was written to evoke questions such as “What’s wrong with me?” but also to highlight the ways that many children may use their diagnosis to rationalize some of their behaviors.
