Introduction

The five articles included in the section on ‘Remapping the Postcolonial’ examine the postcolonial in conjunction with the global, the provincial/local and the diasporic, both theoretically and at a literary-critical level in texts by, among others, Ma Jian, Andrzej Stasiuk, Amitav Ghosh, Neil Bissoondath, M. G. Vassanji and Leila Aboulela.
