ABSTRACT
IT research deals with two aspects: IT as subject matter, and IT used as learning material. In this chapter we investigate the development of IT learning aids. The contribution of didactics of informatics is the transfer of experiences from the subject Informatics to other subjects. We give criteria for the development and evaluation process from both didactic and informatics perspectives, describe a methodology for development of IT-based learning aids, and reflect on its benefits and drawbacks.
