ABSTRACT

The preceding four chapters provide detailed descriptions of young people's experiences and understandings of homelessness and, where applicable, of their movement beyond it. In this concluding chapter we ask how these subjective accounts and interpretations can further our own understanding of the phenomenon of youth homelessness. We also outline the possible implications of our ®ndings for future policy directions and service practice, particularly as they relate to a notion of interdependence. But ®rst we provide a brief summary of key elements of the four pathways we created.
