Back to Hillary Clinton, where we began. In her endorsement speech at the 2008 Democratic Convention, Senator Clinton rallied her supporters, noting that if it were not shattered, the glass ceiling “has 18 million cracks in it.” Clinton obtained 18 million votes in the 2008 presidential primaries, the same as the male nominee, Barack Obama.
