: Practice exercises
For those readers interested in evaluating their new understanding of G theory and its application possibilities, this chapter offers ve example exercises to work through. A different measurement situation is described in each exercise, and a number of related questions posed. While some of the questions can be answered without recourse to analysis results, others will need relevant analyses to be carried out on supplied data sets using EduG. The data sets are accessible at http://www.psypress.com/appliedgeneralizability-theory or http://www.irdp.ch/edumetrie/data.htm. The exercises, which vary in difculty and challenge, can be tackled through individual effort or group collaboration, in a formal seminar context or as an at-home assignment. The most difcult questions are asterisked. While the answers to all the questions are also included here, for maximum learning benet the answers should only be consulted once the exercise concerned has been completed.
