An important decision for business people to make is to decide what legal form the business will take. The legal form chosen is not irrevocable, but it will take time and money to undo mistakes. There are four main types:
1. Sole trader; 2. Partnership; 3. Limited liability partnership (LLP) available since 2001; and 4. Limited company.
