ABSTRACT
Empathy has been ®rmly placed on the TA map since Barbara Clark's paper on empathy and its role in deconfusion (Clark, 1991). This has been subsequently developed by a number of other TA authors, including Erskine (1993), Erskine and Trautmann (1996), Hargaden and Sills (2002) and Tudor (2009).
