ABSTRACT

Multi-sensory thinking In my opinion visualization is multi-sensory thinking by another name. The visual sense predominates in some people’s imagination (while others say they ‘can’t do’ pictures and colours) and this is reflected in the notion of the ‘mind’s eye’ as opposed to the mind’s ear, nose or fingertips. However, my belief is that ‘sensory dominance’ in the way we think is a habit of thought and that imagining with all of the senses is a skill that can be developed in everyone.
