ABSTRACT
First person The value of first person writing is that it allows the author to explore a character
very intimately. We can sift through his (or her or its) innermost thoughts and have
that character talk directly to the reader. The downside of a first person perspective
is that the author and readers must stay with that character constantly throughout
the story.
