ABSTRACT
The three sections of this chapter need to be treated differently. The initial overview of the types of designs and the terminology which is used to distinguish designs should be read before moving on to other chapters. However, the remainder of the chapter, which gives specific examples of the designs, should be treated more for reference or when you have more experience in research.
