The midwife author may wear a variety of hats, sometimes successively, sometimes interchangeably. Students entering the midwifery profession may have much to say about the process of socialisation
it did that what comes to matter about an initiative – the outcomes that people work towards – may not always be wholly predictable at the outset. Where such different outcomes become important, they have the potential to influence, positively or negatively, what happens in practice.
