ABSTRACT

Conceptual frameworks: why you intend to take action The words ‘conceptual frameworks’, also known as theoretical frameworks, refer to the underpinning ideas and concepts that inform and permeate the research; your choice of ideas and concepts are informed by the values you hold. If you believe in justice then you will take justice as a conceptual/ theoretical framework. If freedom and independent enquiry are things you value, or a passion for lifelong learning, or deconstructing gender stereotyping, then these will become conceptual frameworks.
