ABSTRACT

As developed over three decades at this writing, the workshop is many thingsto different people. For some students it is a weekend of fun and games, others want to overcome certain fears associated with performing, some people wish to discover things about themselves, others need to deepen their existing theatrical skills, and finally some hope to transform their lives. Amazingly enough, most people find what they seek. Over the years, few people have left before the end, or had a strong aversion to what was happening. I can count such situations on the fingers of one hand. For the most part, expectations are met and fulfilled, and the effect of the weekend on individuals seems to continue well beyond those two and a half days. Some “awakenings” have been wondrous!
