ABSTRACT
There were three kinds of links between Palestine and the Gulf States: fi rst, unoffi cial relationships, such as those between the people of the Gulf and the Palestinians; second, offi cial connections, particularly those enunciated by governments and rulers; and third, the links between the two that were implicitly (and explicitly) acknowledged by the British, US and other nonArab governments.
