ABSTRACT
Society devotes much concern and effort to finding ‘care’ for the disabled schizophrenic, but avoids contact with him insofar as possible; looks at him in bits and pieces, sees him as the victim of mysterious external forces; denies the inherent validity of his mind and encourages him to do likewise; and at times denies his very psychological existence as a human being.
