ABSTRACT
The lives of aboriginal reindeer herders, fi sherpeople and hunters underwent many changes in the mid 20th century. Unfortunately, reforms implemented in the fi eld of education to address these changes and meet the educational needs of their children didn’t initially consider the traditional culture of the indigenous people.
