ABSTRACT

This chapter provides guidance in assessing high sensitivity by focusing on four broad aspects of the trait, makes suggestions about questions to ask when taking a history, and discusses how to avoid false positives and false negatives. Using case illustrations, it also points out those who are more difficult to assess due to a highly adaptive persona and those who are extroverts and high sensation seekers.
