Conclusion: The Social Bases and Consequences of Latino Entrepreneurship

This fi nal chapter synthesizes the empirical and theoretical contributions of the book, reviewing main research fi ndings and discussing the ways in which these contribute to existing knowledge. In broadening the Latino entrepreneurship theoretical framework, the chapter also identifi es areas that might provide fertile terrain for future social inquiry. Finally, it considers policy implications of the study fi ndings in the context of a politically contentious immigrant debate in post 9/11 America.
