ABSTRACT
In the debate about the future of work, it is common to focus on processes of change within formal employment. However it is not possible to explain the development of the work society only through the development of formal employment; it is important to include different kinds of informal work, the interrelation of informal work and formal employment, and the dynamics of this relationship.
