ABSTRACT
Part I of the book described the convergence of two traditions of critical realism and their recent intersection, and also noted some important areas of divergence. It was suggested that the stratified truth and rationality of CR is compatible with the postfoundational truth and rationality of ThCR. The dialectical turn of CR develops and extends the notion of truth beyond simple correspondence, towards a postfoundational, evolutionary, dialectical, stratified conception of truth which is at once intersubjective and alethic.
